Default Talk to me about the bugeye

I ma looking for a bugeye wagon at the moment and have seen a few nice ones (Yet to go view them) I know they are not everyones cup of tea. All the ones I have looked at are all UK cars . Anything in particular I need to look out for on the bugeye? I used to be a member on here many many years ago when I used to have a Legacy GTB Classic so not unfarmiliar with the boxer lump. In fact I have a soft spot for flat 4's as my other car is a VW Bug

I love my bug!! haha
I have a wrx saloon MY02, i've owned her just over 2 years now and mileage is 79,800.

My opinion would be, just make sure it has good service history, cambelt changed on time and check for crash damage etc.

I notice with mine that the standard shocks are a definite weak point (I just had to replace both rears again after 2 years) so check under the car for any suspect weaping from the struts.

If looked after though i reckon the scoobs are as reliable as any car out there really.

Go for it!!

60k i believe, but i dont do too many miles so its years for me. Im having mine changed on friday as its coming up to 5 years now. Im always paranoid about cambelts with all the cars i've owned, so i do get them changed early usually!

Hey bug owner here.

I had my camblet, tensioner amd pulleys done at 50k. As said listen for the knocking noise coming from the rear, my shocks didnt last too long so put on some nice BC coilovers.
