Is this really what clio owners think of us,
And when you consider most of them drive 1.2's or diesels

Can't read it but I can imagine what it's about. Most of it is jealousy. You could put 5 grand in a Clio and it would only be as good as a standard Scoob. Same story for a lot of cars. Just a shame about the full blown chavs that own scoobs that have given them a bad reputation.

a few quotes
I think it all depends on what colour collar you wear to work:
Blue = Scooby
White = M3
If i turned up to work in a scooby, my colleagues would think i was a c*nt/chav/pikey/thieving gypo, in the M3 they just think im successful/asian/drug dealer, (maybe even all three), which i can cope with.

I don't buy cars based on image,and people that do are ****, i buy them to perform a task, my rover 25 is the shopping trolly general dogs body low running costs and i dont care where i park it or how or what happens to it, and the same goes for my isuzu trooper out here in the croatian countryside,and my crewcab vw transporter is exactly that it moves people and materials when i need it to but it's a bit big and thirsty to use as a daily driver out here.
And the scooby is where i get my kicks, and bang for buck all my vehicles deliver
Next on the shopping list is a suzuki gsxr 750

Came for a holiday, got pissed on the local vino and bought an old farm house in the mountain region of istria
The cops don't care how fast you drive as long as you don't crash, in fact i gave one of the local traffic cops a spin in the scoob and he was telling me to go faster and the roads round here are like derbyshire

I have both... my daily whip is a cup packed 182 and my toy is a rather modified V7 STi.
All groups of car people will form a stereotype opinion of other groups of car people. Its just the norm, so take no notice. Personally ive never had as much fun in any stock Impreza, JDM or otherwise as i do in my bog stock 182... period!
However, my Clio is a quick, fun and cheap roadcar that in the right hands is a real weapon on a twisty B road or track.
My impreza is a different kettle of fish altogether.

What a pointless argument.
I've had more Renault turbos than I care to admit... great cars, unbeatable £ per smile. That said, chavs started buying them and wrecking them... image tarnished forever.
Scoobs are now going the same way. As will E36 M3's and their precious little wizzy mobile clio sports.
In conclusion, we're all chavs and drive **** cars.
Now, where's my cigar...

I watched an old Top Gear yesterday and it had the clio 182 cup on it. Theyre a hideous car, and the one that sets the laptime has a shopping list, nice
