Morning all,

Assuming all appropriate supporting bits and pieces were in place, what's the most power/boost you can wring out of a 16g safely?

making my plans for more power and need to start working on a shopping list.

Depends on many factors but the td05 16g is seen as a 350bhp turbo, it's if your engine is up to the job of running 350bhp safely.

 

Engine's definitely not up to the job.. but that's one of the things on the shopping list

 

Mine does 330bhp at 1bar of boost.

 

How'd you manage that? I'm only seeing 280 ish on 1.1 bar!!!

 

Mine made 321 at 1.4 bar

 

My Bug made 325 ish at 1.4 bar with a Td05 16G and the usual mods......cracking car, never thought it was going to break or kill me LOL. Tough critter and built like a tank, run it without a dump valve

already running without a dump valve. (runs to hide!)

 

Meh, I dunno. Maybe the rollers were wrong.

In theory, if they were, it would make my 1/4 mile time even better as it would be a lower powered car.
