You live in Jordan...... I would go with Matty's idea, maybe shove the EVC right up his **** as a warning not to muck about with things you shouldnt to other idiots and them bury him in the desert.
You could alternatively talk nicely to him, explain that it costs about $2000 to be a *** in your car and he should pay up.

DEARS MattyB1983 , mitman2501 , chief-long-shin , Ryan@Indigo-GT and 555danny,
Thank you very much for trying to make me cheer up and feel better,,,,,
i was just lookin at her standing in front of the door ,,,with this dead engine,,,,
i dont know if i can afford another one,,,, i started working 1 month ago and i took a loan from the Bank for five years to buy this car,,,,
and i only take 500$ per month and 300$ out of the 500$ are gone every month for the Payments of the car,,,,
anyways,,,,,,i felt better after opening my heart and telling you wat i've been through,,,
thank you guys so much for your time and for your replies,,,i really felt better after i read them,,,
yes im in jordan and,,,,,,i dont know if it is better for me to sell the car as is, without changing the engine or buy an engine FROM MY OWN MONEY and try my luck again...
coz i heard that it is so hard to find a used STI engine which is so clean and low mileage and doesnt have any problem!!! i think it is almost impossible to find a used STI engine like this :S
Thanks again my friends ,,,,i really appreciate your replies

Yeah but your fueling/timing will have been altered in your remap to suit.
I'm guessing the OP's EVC was set to run safely at something like 1.1-1.3bar.... And his 'friend' unwittingly thought it'd be a good idea to whack the boost up (without letting OP know). What a fvcker!

Hamzeh, I don't think it's unreasonable to politely ask your 'friend' if he/she stumps up 33-50% of the bill (if you get it repaired). But I'm sure I can guess at his/her response.
In theory, he/she should pay the whole blooming lot AFAIC!!!

I really feel for you fella. Many young lads dream of owning an Impreza and sometimes the only way to do it is with a loan. I will say you are crazy though considering over half your wages are gone on just the repayment. I'm guessing you still live at home so at least there is no rent or mortgage to worry about.
I really wish you all the luck in the world and hope you can come to some sort of arrangement with your dads friend. Even if he stumped up $500 towards it hey.
Good luck fella,
Matt.

What exactly is wrong with the engine, it may not be compleatly knackered.
I took mine out myself and had a look, one bearing gone, found all the parts i needed for £330.00 and i will be putting it back together next week.
Don't be too quick to write the engine off, far too many people are persuaded into a major rebuild when it's not as terminal as those with a vested interest would have you believe.
All well and good spending 4/5k on an engine rebuild if you can afford it, but there are much cheaper options that don't involve having your wallet raped by a"pro".
