how do i swap my private plate?

I am selling my car and want ot switch it to my new car , do i physically have to take the car to DVLA centre ??

No you can just fill in a form and tell them you want to change it. There is a charge of £105 if you want to put it on a certificate. Takes about 3 weeks.

I transfered mine and it took about 1 week.... well 4 days.... you fill in some forms cant remember off the top of my head..... and take them to your local LVLO..
