heat wrap or not to heat wrap this is the question

Default heat wrap or not to heat wrap this is the question

i have to change my headers as there blowing cheap ebay type

i had to remove the wrap when they started blowing and never refitted it whats your view wrap or not to wrap the new set ?

i think you should wrap it, you need to keep less heat on the engine bay

What power and turbo choice do you intend to run?

Anything upto 380bhp, go for a set of harvey's OEM ported headers and matched uppipe, all DEI heatwrapped. You can book a slot at his premises and he can fit 'em too... Or he can courier you them.

Also, the first third of your downpipe (from the turbo end downwards), benefits from DEI heatwrap.

Basically your best course of action would be to contact harvey for his expert advice, any products, etc......

i all ready have the set up just orderd a new turbo from enginetuner and need to swap the header (both aftermarket ) as current set are blowing slightly new set are gt type aiming for 380+ if all goes well
think i might just as well do it silly not to now really

Help in keeping exhaust gases hot i.e. by wrapping, increases exhaust gas flow speeds.... Ergo, quicker turbo spool up.

Definately heatwrap mate, I'd wrap the turbo and the complete downpipe aswel as I found way too much heat coming into the car when giving it the beans with an unwrapped downpipe!
