Default Pilot Training College.

Any one's son been with the above training college for pilot training? Based for 10 months in Florida then over to Ireland to complete. Expensive but salary for commercial pilots in top 5 in UK. Son is very seriously considering this now his A levels are done. Wanted a career not uni then possibly no job at the end of it.

I would recommend CTC a friend of mine graduated from there & is now flying for Sleazyjet - he was complimentary about the company.

If he has an aptitude and the opportunity he should go for it! I just did a PPL for fun, but out of the group I was flying with, a half dozen are now flying jets, with one of them now a training captain. Not a bad life if you have the discipline for it.

He has an assessment with CTC soon so fingers crossed. First choice last year was with the RAF but there not even recruiting till next April due to out Governments cut backs. Pilots in RAF have advised him not to wait as no job security with the military now. Terrible.

The other option is Bristol Ground School, I'm planning on doing my ATPL exams with them.
