Whats the model code?

It's on a plate under the bonnet and will start GC8----.

Probably.

goto www.photobucket.com sign up and upload pics, when you have done that, just click on the code that looks like this [img] it will automatically copy it, then come here and right click and press paste.

the above code is more definitive though.

If it a WRX then it won't be a version. The phrase 'version' was given to STI imprezas.
It it's an M reg then its more than likely a pre-facelift 1995 WRX import, but you knew that anyway chap.
As above, get the 8 digit number put up which is found on the vin plate.

That code is a car built between Oct 1994 and Aug 1995. It's a My C1 series classic (pre-facelift) WRX.

Actually I'm wrong.
The code could actually be a car built between Oct 1994 and Aug 1996. The code for WRX's remained the same.
Will still be a pre-facelift classic WRX.

Your car doesnt have a version, it has a model year, the only subaru's that had "versions" as denoted by subaru japan were the version 2 though to version 6 STI models (no there was no version 1 STI, that was just denoted as STI as they didnt know if they were going to produce any others).
