Default Advice/Opinions

Hey all,

Changed my rad and bought a hose kit last week. Fitted it all no issues no leaks.

The problem i now have is under acceleration both from cold and when warm, when the footbrake is applied i have a hard pedal for a second or two before the brakes actually work

Can anyone shed any light on what exactly has happened

Everything was ok till i changed rad and hoses

Thanks in advance

You have replaced the pipe from the manifold to the matel pipe that runs to the servo. In the OE item is a valve to keep the vaccuum in the servo. It sounds like there is not one in the new pipe, swap it back to confirm this I believe it is possible to swap the valve to the new pipe but I just left the OE item in place.

Mine did same, was scary at first as I pressed the brakes after driving on boost had nothing, after a couple of fast pumps to get the vaccum up good brakes.
