Default Classic to keep up with 400bhp evo7

Does anyone no as a rough quide how much you need to be pushing through a lightweight classic to munch a 400bhp evo 7, the classic is full track spec and striped out.

well if its fully striped out you should have no worries as it is!

racing stripes have "racing" in theyre name so theyve gotta be good for 50bhp!

From experience I can tell you a normal (in terms of not stripped) Classic STi running 360bhp can easily stay with a 400bhp Evo 7

As above, budget for £10,000 and you won't go far wrong.

But on a classic, budget for much less and say goodbye to your current engine.

Evo 7 is about 1450KG, so with 400 horses it should be about 275 bhp per ton.
A stripped out classic will be around 1200KG so 350bhp would be about 290 per ton.

Hello mate, have the map finished and you would be even closer.
For running 0.8 bar you wasn't doing bad against it.

Tell us what you are running at the moment, bhp, mods ect.

Good brakes and a handling package and some driver training are worth about 100 bhp

When you say ' full track spec ', what do you actually mean ?
Do you mean you've removed the spare wheel and rear seats ?
It's quite a bit of work getting one to full track spec. I'm almost there but there's a big differene between a stripped out classic and a track ready one.
