Default locking wheel nuts

i have mcgard locking wheel nuts on my 04 sti, i was removing the wheel today and when i tried to undo the locking wheel nut the locking part disintergrated! (not the nut on the wheel the locking part on the wheel brace)
the nut is undamaged so does anyone know if the nut sets are all the same i.e. can i just buy a new locking nut part or do i need to go subaru to get a new one?

I did this twice on my last Impreza - never learn sometimes

Basically you contact McGard and give them your serial number for the nut. This will be on the box the locking nuts came in. Send off the knackered one as proof and for a small fee they will send you a replacement. Try not to lock them as tight next time is my only advice
