Question Stronger turbo or same: tdo4 or vf34?

I bricked my tdo4 on my 2002 wrx and am wondering if I'm better of getting the vf34 instead.

Obviously, I'll gain far more power with the vf34 but I would need to justify the extra expenditure with other reasons besides performance; especially if fuel efficiency may suffer as well! I have most of the supporting mods for the vf34. All I would really need is: STI pinks, STI FMIC and a fuel pump...

Any input?

Does the ball bearing vf34 last longer than the journal bearing tdo4? I've heard that ball bearing is less likely to leak oil (my turbo is currently leaking massive amounts of oil and is about to completely brick...).

Thanks!

TD04 is a slot stronger the the VF34.
TD04 will restrict power to 280bhp where as the VF34 will allow you to have 340 with an uprated fuel pump and intercooler
