Unhappy

Guess what? I'm gutted... Was out yesterday afternoon washing the new car (well new to me), I've only had the MY97 scoob for 3 weeks and I've discovered that I have red paint splashed all the way down the drivers side of the car.. I wouldn't mind if the car was red, but on a green? I think its only been there since yesterday morning on my way in to work. Anyway, I'm after suggestions of how to remove it without damaging the cars paint/lacqer.. Any ideas?

try autoglym tar remover, but be gentle.

Otherwise find a friendly bodyshop who will be able to wipe it away

Thanks Dave..

Looks like another trip to Halfords then. Do you know any good friendly body shops in the area?

You know the car in question.. apparently you where chatting my dad last Saturday morning outside Halfords.

Cheers,
Paul

Perhaps you could disguise it by painting flames up the side

I once drove through a spillage of white gloss paint and had to use white spirit to get it off my dark blue paintwork. Luckily the worst of it was confined to the insise of the wheel arches. Another tip - the longer you leave it the harder it will become so try attacking it soon. Also Wax Wizard does some "cleanses" which may help.

T-Cut and a shining with Autoglym should sort that for you without a problem mate!

Good luck!

Wire brush and Dettol?
I'll have a look at it tonight, if you don't leave work before me. Can only offer sympathy.

Don't use the AG Tar remover used it on MY01, and found scratches everywhere the next day, look like I'd washed it with a brillow pad. (Don't laugh another guy on here did that)
