Unhappy Hunter alignment not listing my car

I went to get my car aligned today, they got it up on the Hunter ProAlign then called me over...

Seems my 2010 Impreza STI type UK isn't listed

Under Subaru > Impreza > 2007- it only listed:

1.5
2.0
WRX

All Subaru models were listed prior to 2007 and the STI was listed under USA models but I declined as I'd imagine suspension and geometry for USA cars may be different.

Does any one work with Hunter gear and can you confirm the hatch STI should be listed?

Stop messing about with stuff like that, the guy doing the alignment obviously knew nowt about alignment and was just following instructions.

Get yourself to Carnetix at Melton Mowbray, Powerstation near Cheltenham and a few other places who KNOW Scoobs.

They will discuss with you what you want BEFORE starting, explaining what different settings will do to handling and tyre wear, let YOU make a choice, then put the settings in, and then take you out in it to see if it's what you wanted.

In short, don't muck about with spanner monkeys, go to a specialist.

I know for a fact that Hunter has the MY08 -> oe setups.

The problem is that the guy you went to knows nothing about what he is doing, for a very small fee he can download all new cars to his system.

Take your car to a specialist

thanks for the input and recommendations guys

I really was after somewhere Essex based as I don't have time to get to anywhere further as I'm driving round France next week.

I put my car in for its 20k service at AMC Chelmsford and since coming back it now pulls wildly to the right when I let go of the wheel, when I spoke to them they said they had swapped front to rear wheels and recommended I get the car 4 wheel aligned

Swap the wheels back, it will be the tyres that is making it pull, not the alignment

What would cause that? the new front tyres look to have an even flat wear about them where as the ones on the rear have the edges knocked off them.

tyres can certainly make a difference to how a car pulls. Its not reccommended to swap them about these days because ofexactly this problem. Do check theyve only swapped them front to rear and not side to side toas they may be rotational tyres that are now going the wrong way round. Ive always found these guy pretty good for alignment.

Hmmm... not quite the experience I had getting a Powerstation 4 wheel alignment. Got the settings I was given, not much in the way of discussion, and cost me £100

Was better when I went, but that was ten years back.

Carnetix are where I would go again, they did it three years back after I had coilovers fitted, plus put right the mistakes the local guy had made fitting the coilovers,

I went to Litchfields, it cost £95 but was well worth it. They even talked me through what was happening, and offered some advice on other things I wanted to know.
No good for the OP being in Essex, but Id recommend Litchfields wholeheartedly.

They gave me a printout, but that is for a WRX with no rear camber adjustment. I would do a search on here and see whats recommended.

I know what different folk recommend, was just curious to see what Litchfield used (mainly toe numbers I'm interested in)

Did you ask for any handling preferences?
