None taken fella, Api are mega expensive, and if you are happy to spend your hard earned cash, then nock yourself out. Best of luck with your build fella.

I disagree, [ as you would expect ] We charge sensibly for what we do and how often have you heard on ANY forum, of one of our engines giving trouble?

More's the point, how many have you heard of giving trouble, where the owner is less than satisfied with our response?

You get what you pay for in this world.

l'll pitch us quote for quote against any of the popular Subaru tuners. RCM, 'Clinic, Engine Tuner..............

It is possible to get amateurs to beat any of us for price, but as one member has found out to his cost; his ' specialist' of choice wasn't insured when a claim was needed. What would have happened if the car had been substantially damaged?

You get what you pay for in this world in many ways.

Actually, I hear comments like this all the time:

"Api built me a motor and i'm going to have to get shot of it: it's so quick that I've accumulated 9 speeding points since the rebuild and do you know what that dodgy character David said by way of customer support? 'How about an AP brake upgrade, sonny?'. It's disgraceful!"

Now that would be telling. If InitialD wants it out there, he'll tell you. I ain't gonna have his lady on the phone wanting to know why he is spending however much on whatever.

Don't forget also that 20% VAT adds up too, that I recall is in the figure. Can't stop the government nicking our hard-earned no matter how hard I try.

I think you need a set of coilovers NS04 You got brakes already

I disagree as well. I had a few quotes in before I choose API and all the recognized places were in the same ballpark, and yes 20% VAT is a killer.

Personally I'm happy with what I got and what I paid, all be it a forced cost as my engine died.

You'll be happy when you go to pick yours up, trust me it's a good feeling.

I work at Indigo now obviously so everything is done in house but I'm proud to say my Type R has an API Engine, it's one of the reasons I bought the car!

Had mine rebuilt two years ago at API.

Out of the 4 Main guys at the time (Clinic, Engine Tuner, ZEN and API) Only API would put in writting what was going to be done and was £900 cheaper than all of the rest.

As it turned out I spent that £900 on other performance products and items out of the bat cave at the time so no money saved!!
