Hawkeye front lip spoiler/splitter - best place to source one
Hi
I've finally decided I want to fit a front lip splitter/spoiler to my 2007 hawkeye STI Type UK. I've had a good search on here but can't find best (or any) places to order one from, or is there likely to be a group buy any time soon, as I know there was one some time ago but since ended? I'm not after a genuine ~£400 JDM one but a cheap but good quality replica which fits well and won't snap easily (if this is possible). Where's the best place to order one..any traders on here which can be recommended - any online companies to avoid? My car is on standard suspension so I shouldn't hopefully be scraping any speed bumps All the pics I see of hawkeyes with them, and other newage and classic imprezas just look stunning with it on. I assume they are easy to fit, holes already present in bumper and just simply bolts and nut fit or does it clip on?
Thanks for any help.
Cheers.

No problems. Mine came with all the self tap screws required, not sure about the HT Autos one, but suspect it would. Basically there are 2 standard push fit fasteners on either side of the bumper underneath. Remove these with a screw driver, hold the splitter up and put them back in trapping the splitter too. Then just screw the self tappers in the right place. I started in the middle first to get it level & right to the eye then worked outwards. Didnt bother using a drill, just screwed straight through the plastic. Easy job!
Although I have since had to re-screw the font back on several times. Think the speed I achieve pulls it loose, not off, just loose. May rivet and washer it if it keeps happening!

Hi
Is the part for sale in the Litchfield link not just the rubber extension that fits to the bottom of the splitter itself.
We had a similar part on our Hatch STi.
Have you tried:-

Thanks

Cant see what you mean about the rubber extensions. Not visible on the picture and looks like the whole lip is for sale for £95. I’d be pretty hacked off if I bought that and didn’t receive the whole thing! Lol
Got any pics of the ones you do for the later model so I can understand what they might be?

Hi
This is what I mean:-
http://www.just-subaru.com/sti-front-lip-72265-0.html
The vertical rubber strip under the actual splitter itself.
Not 100% sure if that is what Litchfield are advertising but it looks that way to me, especially with the price.
Thanks
Keith
