Default new age STI pistons price?

I'm weighing up some options for my WRX engine, and one is to get myself some 2 litre STI pistons and refresh the bottom end at some point (no problems as of yet, more a case of getting some bits together)

I'm staying below 400hp, so I don't need a forged engine etc.

How much do they roughly go for?

How about phoning around the various builders (like the above) to see what they have hanging around ??

Refreshing an engine with second hand parts desn't sound like much of a refresh to me as you have no idea of the life they have had.

When I needed to repair my engine the cost of 1 sti piston from the dealer was the same as a set of 4 mahle ones.

it dosen't matter tbh, as long as everything measures to spec and the pistons are in good nick and show no signs of det etc and the shells and rings are changed then in my opinion that is a refresh.

It's gonna be a lot better than a block thats covered 50k miles.

It's torque that will kill the rods...

P.S. Enginetuner do loads of 2.1 stroker conversions, ask A.J. if he has mine handy....
