High miles a problem?
Simple question, is a 02-04 WRX with 80-90k on the clock likely to face problems?
I have been told in the past these aren't great with high mileage, but I have also been told these are pretty much as reliable as you get, so a bit confused
Cheers

That's the olny real problem with these, they're built to be driven and if they've been driven hard, well, we all know where that leads, just hard to tell which have and which haven't
Got to love all the adds with, it's the wifes run about!

My 02 WRX Wagon has done 112k miles so far. Still going alright, not had anything serious happen in the last few years. It's a daily driver so not thrashed as such, though I do not treat it in cotton wool (gave up after the umpteeth super market ding). Usual wear and tear items come up on a yearly basis, plus it's still on the 2nd clutch @ 82k miles. Had 2 cam belt changes lots of fluid changes, shocks and brakes, but over 9 years it's not a bad outlay.

If it looks clean, has a reasonable history to prove that it has been maintained as Subaru suggest then milage doesn't bother me.
I have bought low milage cars (sub 50k) and higer (90k+) and to behonest I have noticed no real reliability differences - all have been Scoobies and all have been reliable
