05 interior and exterior update
just finished my 05 centre console and rear end update on my 04 sti.
fitted complete 05 centre console painted gloss black with red jdm hazard light switch.
also recovered arm rest with black leather with red stiching
just waiting for radio brackets so i can refit my pioneer sat nav.
didnt really want to hack up my new centre console so i got the 05 door cards too complete with rare jdm folding mirror switch as i have folding mirrors.
this was a bit of a pain getting wires into the door and also wiring up as the loom colours were slightly different.
also fitted 05 rear bumper and arch extensions
very pleased with my handy work as all was done by myself after research on here and other subaru sites and all parts were second hand to keep costs down and even managed to sell my old door cards and centre console parts on here

the bumper cost me £120 off ebay and was already correct colour and mint.
also sold my old bumper for £75 on ebay.
the arch extensions were the only parts apart from some random brackets behind the console i brought new.
once the clips are installed in the holes they are next to impossible to remove without breaking the clips so are rare at breakers in one piece.
as its my own car i like to fix all the mods as subaru intended as i dont like to stick things on. so had to buy new i think they were £130 for the pair and came prepainted in wr blue, then you need to drill 4 holes on either arch and clip in.
the door cards and all brackets etc for the door were £150 but sold my old cards for £75
the console cost me £110 and sold the old one in bits for about £60 on ebay and prodrive gear **** which i hated for £20
it has taken me about 6 months to collect all the parts i needed as i brought most from ebay and you also need the handbrake and some brackets which where not listed in the fitting threads i have seen.
im sure it can be done cheaper and quicker but as i intend to keep the car i wanted it all done properly.
i have seen a lot of console swaps but not many have done the full conversion with door cards and relocating the mirror switch
