Imprezas + Winter = ??
Hi Guys,
Having the worst time EVER selling my current car not paid to sell on SN ...shameless plug there lol i've owned 16 cars (get bored easily) since passing my test in 2004 and not one has taken longer than a month to sell....this is getting on for 4 months now, damned fuel prices putting people off big cars!!
I'm looking for a white sti V4/5/6 as soon as the above has released some cash, but that got me thinking about winter...Obviously being AWD they're going to be awesome in the cold/snow, but what about the engines/turbos when starting from some -11 which is what Newcastle seen this year? any hints or tips for preperation for the winter with these cars? barring the obvious coolant/winter tyres?..
Regards
Aaron 'buy my freaking car' Pearson lol

No problems with my car in the winter but depends on good maintenance same as any other car, yes traction good in snow but no easier to stop than any other car this is where people make mistakes.

agreed with above, AWD is amazing in the snow but if all 4 wheels have not traction then it makes no difference at all.
my blobeye was fine, just took a little longer to get up to temp before blasting it. having the top mount was interesting as well, freezing cold air made the car feel like it had much more power
