We are using the Britax duo plus isofix.....Took my Mrs 2 days of research to find the best seat...

The problem we found was trying to find a baby seat that sat nicely on the rear seat.

that's rubbish loads will fit, the best bet is to goto mothercare and try a few.

we used a Recaro and a Britax in ours.

We have used:

- Maxi cosi cabrio from birth
- then Britax DuoPlus ISOFIX
- then Britax KidFIX (also ISOFIX)

and have no grumbles at all.

We looked at the Recaro seat for the last seat, but it didn't have a good write up in Which? magaizne, who said it offered poor lateral protection. The Britax, on the other hand, scored very well.

The only annoyance was that the Britax fit finder didn't recommend the kidfix for the MY05 Impreza, but it was approved for the hawkeye. On the advice of others on this forum and two subaru dealers I trust, I decided to ignore Britax's suggestion on the basis that the bug, blob and hawkeye chassis is near identical. I'm please to say that the seat fits very neatly in the seat and I have not concerns re its suitability. I imagine Britax just didn't test the seat in the MY05 chassis.

Hope this helps!

Any ISOfix should fit. They are pricier, but easy to get in and out, no messing with seatbelts.

I used a Silvercross one for my kids as nippers. It was part of the 3D set,

Now use Graco seats that turn into booster seats.

We have more trouble with the 1998 Classic seat belts going round the Silvercross chair/seat to be honest.
