The idea is to rotate the assembly of the up pipe around, opening up a much wider choice of turbos, including the possibility of using a remote wastegate.
Basically, you can get a bigger turbo in there!
We've fitted loads of these, with one of our 2.1 engines making 690 bhp on a GT35R.
It's a plan if you intend to go for 500 bhp and above.
No, I'm not trying to sell you one.

As above

Plus Rotated kit will set you back around £799 from Hayward&Scott or RCM(little bit more £££),without the Garrett core(GT30 or GT35 etc)

I would suggest MD321V,SC50 or SC54 will be good choice and these are standard location turbos(don't need rotated kit),these turbos will make 500bhp plus more.

They will, but in my experience there isn't a bolt on currently available that can compete with the sheer brutal nature of a proper twisted kit and a decent turbo.
For the 500-550 level the SC Billet GT30 would be perfect.

I have always wondered, why does the rotation allow for better flow, spool etc? Surely the pipework dimensions are the same?

The RCM kit is probably the best around, I haven't looked over any of Gaz's builds close up but they do look good quality also.

Roatated + MAF based ECU does not work well at all, therefore budget for a decent ECU

Can work with MAF based ECU too,but you must go route via Blow Through MAF or Speed Density plus AVC-R,but at longer run Aftermarket ECU(MAP based ECU) will be better choice.
