Default Question About ECU

Evening all

Ive got a 05 WRX PPP and posted up a thread a few weeks ago about getting some more black beauties under the bonnet.
After the advice given, i am getting the following
STI 550 Pink injectors
Walbro Fuel Pump
Green Cotton Air Filter
Bigger turbo (prob VF35)

And once all these are fitted getting it re mapped.

My question is about the re map... and apologies if you all think its a dumb question.... but.... Prodrive have already re mapped it so what happens to the old ECU? Does the new one overide it? Is it now completely useless?
Also does anyone know which ECU Prodrive they use as i've told to use ECUTek and they quote £550 or £400 if you already have an ECUTek fitted that just needs upgrading.

Cheers

Jay

Your ECU can be mapped via Open Source or EcuTek,depends how much you want spend, and really doesn't matter if you have Prodrive generic map there.

Contact here Duncan@Race Dynamix,Rich@FB Tunning,Graham@EngineMapper for OS tune,price from £225-£350

And EcuTek from £550 and this do Simon@JGM,Bob Rawle..

Do you still get the same gains with Open Source as you do with Ecutek?

Yes is not difference between the OS and EcuTek,matey.

Difference is only in SW and licence.

I can concur, same results with both EcuTek and Opensource.
