Default Recomend me a Cambelt kit

As the Title please
Want to change it as a precautionary measure as i have nothing in the History to sugest its been done apart from "cam-belt done" writen with a byro on one of the sevices in the Sevice book.
Had one , well two in the past and they ended up costing me dearly. My van dropped a belt TWO weeks after buying it and before i had a chance to change it and ended up costing me a grand.
The other was on an old Escort but still bent 4 valves and required quite a bit of work to put right
So now , as you can imagine, i am a little nevous of these belts and like to change then sooner rather than later
My cars an 02 bug sti, so i would be greatfull if anyone could steer me in the direction of a good and trusted suplier
Am i right in thinking that while i'm at it i should do the water pump as well

Regards
Ian

i have included a link to page of various cambelt kits from a good supplier as for water pump they very rarely go, its generally the oil pump that gets changed as a precautionary measure. http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/part...49&var=25&dc=y

i've always used gates powergrip belts and have had no trouble with them, i've just fitted a full gates cam belt kit to my scooby as my pal works at a parts distributor and got me the full kit and a new water pump for £100 all in, i'm having no trouble with it on my car or any other car i've fitted them too in the past.

I see they are now offering 'Cosworth Performance' belts. Anyone any experience of these? Are they any stronger etc and worth the extra money?

What factor does he work for as that's a cracking price for a full kit and water pump, what year car?

He works for a distributor mate, he takes the kits out to various motor factors around the Birmingham area etc.

The kit was for my 94 wrx and i got it all so cheap as it fell in his van one night after work
