Concerns:
-No mention of mileage - Usually means it is sky high or can't be proven.
-P1 Bits may look nice, but does that it has been in a shunt??
Price wise, if it is genuine and has below so 80k, then it seems ok, especially for a black one. I just don't like the mis-match of parts.

quite like that - as long as the engine hasnt been modded - i tend to err away from modded cars, but the front end face lift is common and not always a sign of a shunt...

It may only be me but I'm put off by adverts like that straight away.
Piston heads don't restrict you on advert length but still the seller is happy to write the bare minimum about the car.
Yea yea you could just ring and find out about it but for me, I like to see a well written advert detailing mileage, history of the car etc etc.

seems hard to sell these type r scoobys at the moment. mine hasn't sold and i thought it would fly out !( i dont think the length of time it's been advertised is a bad thing, if your looking for one you know what to look for so its gotta be worth a look atleast.

If I'm right this is a trader based near Balshall Heath, Birmingham. I went along once to view a scooby - all in a lock-up just delivered from the docks, not prepared, dust, grime, dents... need I go on? I was supposed to choose one, leave a deposit and then they prepare it

It's been for sale there for at least a year I think .
Time taken to sell and varying opinions of the trader are a put off. If it were me, I would only purchase if the trader was prepared to allow a full report carried out on the car. Don't the RAC do something like that? Would a Subaru specialist be prepared to check it over if all the costs were covered?
If the engine blows up or the gearbox lets go within 3 months fine, my luck. What I'd want is a professional opinion on the cars structure. Has it been crashed, has it had paint.
A V4/5/6 Black Type R is probably my ideal classic - I've looked at this one many times. I'd be happy to spend a few hundred quid getting it checked before making a purchase.

Gotta pay high prices for good imports, places like new era charge a premium because their cars are top quality.
