Default 2010 STI keys

Guys anyone help on this please? My owners manual is in Spanish so finding it hard to figure it out.
The ignition keys, you can just have it in your pocket and press the button to start the car. What happens if the battery on it runs out when you are out. How would you start the car then? Can't seem to see anywhere that the key fits in in an emergency and don't see any codes or anything or indeed somewhere to type a code in like you could do on the old STI's.
Is it just a case of replacing battery in key fob before they run out so it can't happen?

You unlock the drivers door with the key which comes out of the fob at the base, to start the vehicle you hold the fob over the starter button and press it at the same time. Then the car will start. Reason being the immobiliser ring is in the starter button.

Thanks Rob, would never have thought that's how you do it. So basically even with a flat battery in the fob that would work?

yes even with a completely flat battery in the fob as long as you hold it over the starter button when trying to start it will fire up and run
