Default Brembo Brake question

I moved to an STI 2011 Saloon and have noticed the brakes grind ( make noise ) alot more than my old WRX-S

I took it back to the dealer and he said they were all ok

Am i right in thinking cos the brembos are rather large you do get increased noise like binding etc

sorry for such noob question but moving from a wrx to a STI the car seems to make more Noise like Brakes Transmission etc which for a noob like me sounds like summat poorly :P

Have they got new pads?

Subaru told me, the noise I heard was just new pads I thought it was a bit odd but after a few weeks it did go away

Default Brake noise

That's because your wrxs had Kevlar pads which are hard as nails. You will find the Brembos give loads of brake dust and wear the discs like crazy. The Brembos pads are higher graphite and ceramic based like a traditional organic pad. The noise is your discs wearing away. Bet you notice the differences in stopping distances especially cold.
