I can only imagine that the open and close is a butterfly valve inside the zorst to quite it down if you wanted.

 

My old golf r32 had the same idea, a valve in the exhaust to make it quiet down low revs, one of my first mods was getting rid of it lol.

Woah, nice thing with that actuator already, but pricey! I wished to buy something like that, but ended with ordinary Apexi-like one with a cable cabin adjuster. Same results as that one, just more simple and a lot cheaper heh. However, never installed mine as changed exhaust system for quieter in prior, should sell it now as not needed.
