prodrive sport cat & heat wrapping

prodrive sport cat & heat wrapping
I picked up a prodrive sport cat a few weeks back & am looking to get it fitted along with a new exhaust once I have it.
The sport cat did not come with a heat blanket (although from what I hear they are a bit fragile anyway) so I am wondering if should I be heat wrapping the downpipe before I get my garage to fit the complete new system?
I'm not particularly technical....is it an easy process? Is it completely safe? If so - what wrap should I get and how much of it?
Bug sti btw. Only mods will be exhaust, filter & remap if that makes any difference.
cheers

Its always a good idea to wrap the down pipe and cat especially if its not fitted. Contact Harvey on here as he supplies HEI, I think its called that which is regarded as one of the best, one roll of 2" wide would be enough, not cheap tho.
