when I bought my WR1 I was 21 and the insurance was just over 5.5k ... even when I was 27 I was having to pay out 1,500 for a sti hatch. Scoobs are fast cars in the highest insurance bracket. As the car gets cheaper the insurance premiums are only going in one direction

Is it no wonder people go uninsured these days? ( I am not saying it is ok )
How on earth insurance companies can even justify basically what amounts to extorsion ( excusse spelling ).

Calm down dear, lol!!!
Those high prices are the insurers way of saying ''thanks, but no thanks''.
The prices are just worked out by a computer, so no common sense is involved.
Those companies are probably after Joe Bloggs with his Focus Diesel rather than the performance cars, but instead of a simple 'no quote' they still offer a high price that nobody will pay.
