Hi all,

Just bought a second hand pair of STI8 fog covers. I'm trying to removed the decals on them with a hair dryer currently with mixed success.

The STI lettering is coming off but it looks like the rest of the cover has been laminated?? Its leaving the outline of where the letters used to be, I thought it might just be the old adhesive outline but it appears not.

Anyone had this problem when removing this before??

Theres a chance they were clear coated on i had this once.With mine the decals had been put on top of paint/clear coat then lacquered again so when the decals came of there the old marks were embossed in.I rubbed mine down with 1500 wet/dry till they were flat then compounded them to a shine

Yeah sounds like what might have happened to these, I think I'll give the rub down a go. Cheers for that.
