Hi there, ive not long had my wrx sti but its developed a strange high pitched rattling noise which gets quite loud ~2700 RPM, its there all the time but the engine noise soon drowns it out after about 4500 - 5000. The engine temperature doesnt appear to make any difference at all.. Any one encountered anything similar before?

 

Yes, mine was the cambelt - replaced under warranty
