Thumbs up Huge thanks to Rich from FB tuning

Just got back from FB tuning where Rich has fitted a 6 speed box into my classic There were all sorts of issues throughout the day (none of which were down to Rich) and he sorted every one of them and also didn't charge me anymore than he'd originally quoted me to install the box and diff

He really does know his stuff and spotted a few things on the car and despite the issues that I threw at him the day went well and it wasn't stressful at all, I wish he was also an M3 specialist

How did the car go afterwards?

How long did it take?

Did you source the box from here? and roughly how much for all the parts needed?

Sorry about so many questions. Something i'm really considering doing. I have a version 4 sti.

I have just had fitted an exeedy organic clutch fitted. Does this need changing as well?

The car pulls much better through the gears and the ratios seem better matched than in the 5 speed box.

Rich started at around 1pm and finished at 7:30 but there were a few hours waiting around for parts to arrive that were either broken or missing.

I got the box from someone on here and I paid him £1525 for the gearbox, diff, prop, ****, subframe and clutch and flywheel.

You can use a 5 speed clutch, Rich uses a 5 speed clutch in his one and think that you only need to do something with the starter motor mounting point because it's a stud on a 5 speed or something like that.

I've not driven the car far yet but it feels like it was really worth doing, I only did it because I wanted a stronger box but it feels much better.

Did you not mention to Rich you had an M3 because the place he takes the cars to to do the geometry set up is a very good BMW specialist.

Rich knows I have an M3 and he would work on it anytime but come service time M3 owners/buyers are very picky on who has serviced it I don't actually know what motorworx reputation is like as a specialist but I do know the guys on the M3 forum rate the place a mile down the road from me.

Personally I'd be happier if Rich serviced it
