what does the switch look like?! is it possible someone has run NOS on it in the past? I know some of the systems out there have a switch on the accelerator pedal so that they only activate under full throttle

It switches when you rest your foot on the pedal. (the first 1-3mm of travel before it starts to pull on the cable.)
My original thought was an idle switch but that appears to be part of the throttle position sensor.

Not sure what there called on a subaru but on a 2l 16v vw golf there on the throttle body and there called a wot switch, not really sure what they do if anything but someone reckoned they switch the ecu from closed loop to open, but then again someone else said it was a fuel enrichment switch.
