Default Noise from rear driver side at 60mpg

Hey all, I haven't had my impreza long but I've noticed whenever I'm doing around 60 I get a whistling(ish) noise from the rear on the drivers side that stops if I change the amount of pressure i have on the accelerator atall.

My first (and most hopeful thought) is that its the spoiler whistling? its not at the same speed or rpm every time so i figured it could be Dependant on the wind speed and direction? Also as it stops when i alter speed atall that might be a factor.

But i do find it hard to believe that so often i'm driving in this sweet spot of wind speed and direction at around 60mph.

My friend suggested it could be a wheel bearing or even the turbo and the direction of the sound could be misleading...

Any ideas? I want to work it out before the warranty runs out!

Thanks! Tom.

Can I be the first to say 60mpg? If I got that I'd be inclined to put up with a whistling noise!

On a serious note what kind of spoiler do you have?Sti one with the base? Perhaps the wind is getting underneath it if its not quite seated properly.

double check that the back windows ar all the way up, wind thenm downa bit first then all the way up get a friend to sit in back of car repeat speed it happens at and get himm to check that theres no air passing through door seal, might be something simple as that
