Got my 1st Subaboo project
Hey all, just a quick hello post from me.
I've had my 2004 wrx for a little over 2 weeks, previously I was working on a Mitsubishi GTO but it proved too expensive to run along side a daily drive, needless to say I was a bit miffed when after refitting the whole interior I couldn't afford to drive it! I have project blog here http://www.typetr.co.uk/ that has a picture of my new shiny Impreza and all the details of my gto project (incase anybody is interested ;P).
Anyway sold My project GTO and my daily to get something more sensible, and somehow ended up with a Impreza . I'm going to work on it eventually when the pain of buying it wears off.
The plan.... Not defined really, my aim is to keep it looking stock(ish) so no body kits or anything drastic try to keep it quicker than all the high power hot hatches that are poping up. As its my daily though i need to keep economy and reliability, open to suggestions and advise while i'm saving and researching .
Oh and i was also going to say It's standard apart from a dump valve, I'm planning on getting an STI spoiler and remap before anything else, but that could change as I learn more.
Tom.

lol, i know they're a bit chavvy but thankfully enough it only dumps towards redline. As im driving it ubr economically its not noticeable, rarely breaking 3000rpm. I don't rock around hissing every gear change lol

on my jdm you can hear it dump in the airbox even at low rpm and thats with standard dumpvalve, only noise that gets on my nerves slightly is the boost solenoid clicking away, thought I had something wrong till I found out what it was, just go for exhaust, panel filter and a remap, will keep reliability and should hurt the mpg. I thought my wrx was a perfect setup tbh, I basically had a ppp'd wrx with front brembo brakes, sti wheels and whiteline 22mm rear rollbar, found it superb as a daily car. When I wanted more I sold it and bought an sti as I felt the costs would have been high after this level and would have made it harder to sell on.
