Ive had a WRX for 1/2 a day now
I picked up a standard WRX at lunchtime today, first one, took it on a smallish run this afternoon, and a longer one this evening. I am totally in love with it, the handling and phenominal accelaration, and then the sound! I do have one question though, how do you guys keep your lisences driving these things??? I was struggling to keep it under the speed limit!

Do be careful on roundabouts and sharp bends as you can suffer understeer. The general rule with these cars is 'slow in fast out'.
I learnt this all too recently and luckily managed to get it back under control!

Its a nice clean 55reg model. The HKS sticker on the front is just a sticker, this car is completely mod free!
Ill be driving tomorow through snowdonia so should get a chance then to learn the ways of this special car!

I got the pics of the website where i bought the car, i can enlarge them but they loose clarity. I'll be out tomorow if the weather is good taking some photosso will post them tomorow night!
For upgrades i think i need to sort out the ICE first, for a relatively new car this seems quite poor After that i'll look at some basic mods, exhaust, re map, induction kit etc. Nothing too major as it still needs to be a family car.
Its good to see all the different styles people go with on here, it gives a lot of guidence to the newbie

I understand how you feel. Bought my first 06 standard wrx about 4 weeks ago. Still got the same grin on my face everytime i get in it as I did when I drove it away from the garage. From what I can tell they dont do 30 very well. Only wish I had got mine sooner, I've been threatening the mrs with it for over 5 years!! - told her I was going to look / test drive one - came home with it :-)

Mustn't let my wife see this forum! She'll be crying thinking how much i'll probably end up spending on mods!!!
Been on a good run today to Lllangolllen and over the horseshoe pass, again the car is a wonderfull drive, and i found myself slowing down way before the car needed to, but i'm sure ill get used to it over the coming weeks.
I have found a garage, duttons in prestatyn (north wales), who do a lot of mods specifically for Subarus. Any one ever heard of them?? i think they do more rally work, but it would be good to know that i have a specialist nearby.
Oh and again, thanks for all the welcomes, it does make me feel rright at home straight away one of my previous cars was an S type Jag, and their forum is a bit bitchy for no apparant reason!
