Default Prodrive mudflaps

Has anyone had any problems with the Prodrive mudflaps? My set were fitted by the previous owner just before I bought the car. In less than 4 months they have all split

As far as I know it was a main dealer who fitted them as well. Seems a poor show for parts that cost £112.00 per pair

Seems odd, maybe the dealer didn't fit them correctly

I contacted Prodrive who put me onto Kay-dee, who make the flaps. The guy said that the Blue will go green after a time, so black is the way to go.
They sent me a full set of flaps minus the steelwork for a small fee

That's how they should be, so you can alter the height without undoing all the mounting bolts

Agreed, they have split both ways from the holes. Though I've never seen that happen before. A few years ago I contacted someone (I think it was Scot Lowe not 100%) and they made me a set exactly the same with the prodrive lettering on just the same for about £100 for all 4 with brackets and screws.

If that was the case then there would be splits from every hole.

over priced and not worth the money!!
best to use performance creations who manufature and sell their own £35 roughly a full set with steel brackets and fitting kit, quality pvc and looks exactly the same colour even after a few years.
bought many sets from them

Just checked mine (2 1/2 yrs old) and the "splits" are part of the design. Having said that, the continuation of the splits inwards from the holes, in your pic. does look suspect!

Hmm interesting

I've emailed Prodrive to ask what the situation is with them. Hopefully they'll clarify whether they should be split or not.
