STI version 7 short motor

p1 heads
straight through exhaust

hoping for a safe 340bhp/340lbs torque and a much much much smoother running engine

340 will be about the most you'll get with that turbo and that will be a push. My car made 342 on a 28 running 1.5 bar boost. I was using STI 9 spec C (JDM) bottom end, gt spec manifold and up-pipe, full de-cat 3" system, walbro, HKS front mount, RCM 550's, Motec M48 with A.L and STI 3 heads. All mapped up by Paul at ZEN.
Why not go with a slightly bigger turbo and run less boost, maybe an 18G. At least that way you can run more power in the future without too much hassle.
