Spoiler Brake Light Strip
Hi,
I've got a few of the lights out on my spoiler brake strip:
Does anyone have any ideas on how to replace them or where I would get a full new strip from?
Cheers
Mark

Replacement: Remove spoiler by undoing bolts and screws underneath, look for two bolts UNDER the rubber bumpers inside the bootlid.
DON'T forget to disconnect the brakelight wiring, if it's necessary to pull it through, tie a bit of string to it to help pull it back
Once off, there are either two, or three, large headed machine screws holding the LOWER cover in place, (this is on a genuine spoiler), remove and off it comes, same deal with wiring.
On SOME aftermarket spoilers, the brakelight is held in with two screws from the rearmost part, looking at it from the back of the car, and can be removed even without lifting the boot. Same deal with wiring etc.
Where from: breakers, dealers, spoiler manufacturer, it IS also possible to split some and re-solder LEDS into it, but needs patience and skill.

Thanks, I'll give this a try out at the weekend.
I've had a look around and can't see anyone selling them whole so I guess it's a breakers or asking someone I know to attempt to re-solder some LEDS into it.

I've had a quick look this morning and there's two screws at either side of the strip, so I guess that means it's not a genuine spoiler and is indeed an aftermarket one (not sure on the make yet, will have to see if there are any markings anywhere). Looks as though it will be very easy to remove, but I guess I'll be going down the route of trying to get it fixed with some new LED's as that's probably eaiser than tracking down where they are sourced from.
Cheers for the help though

Put a post on here with the question in the title.
DRM used to sell fully painted spoilers, try them first?
Or Grade A: my first one was from them, similar fitting to yours, two screws, but it was red. They may be able to source you one, or point you in the right direction.
