Default 6 Speed conversion??

hi guys,
how hard is the above to do on a 1999 import?

Say the box was from a 2003, what would i need to make it fit? or are they a straight bolt on?
Which Clutch would i need? a 1999 or a 2003? What about the flywheel?

Thanks for any help lads

You'd need the following;
obviously the box itself
gear linkage
gearbox cradle
propshaft from an auto or a six speed prop
and an R160 UK diff (3.54 ratio)
Your existing clutch and flywheel will work although it might be good time to replace the clutch.
Your starter motor will also be fine as its the later model one.

Your current front drive shafts will fit.

All in all a fairly easy conversion to do.

Thanks pal.

Well Basically im looking at a damaged 2003 blob thats catagory B. So i'd have a full car anyway, so should i use the rear diff from that or does it have to be the specific diff you mention?

I think so long as diff and gearbox came off the same car, you should be OK?

If you use the rear diff from the blob, you will need to change the rear shafts, hubs and brakes basically the complete rear end from the blob.

If you're getting the complete car why not do the whole brake thing too - it's well worth it.

Ecu change will be needed to run the avcs heads, so either a syvecs or simtek ecu.
