Default My mates GX 2.0 Sport upgrade query

Hi guys (and gals)

My mate who is would be crippled with insurance costs on a turbo'd scoob, is getting a 2.0 GX Sport.

What can he do to get this thing a bit faster....

Not much mate. I had a non turbo, i fitted borla headers (made a difference and gave me the subaru burble), lightened pulleys, decent set of leads and an induction kit. THis made the car a little bit more exciting... but if he wants performance, then really the turbo is the only way to go unless he has 1k+ for a supercharger conversion.

The best advice imo is... everytime he tries to make it quicker, i.e exhaust. Or wants to style like a turbo model, put that money in a pot.

Before he knows it he'll be old/wise enough to insure one and pay for it.

Until then you can always let him have a blast in yours

Get something other than a Scoob

The non-turbo Scoobs were really never that great, could get something with much better performance for the money i.e. some French clutter (Saxo VTS/R etc.)

Talking of French clutter, i had a Peugeot 406 Turbo, that was a potent car. Miss selling it, a proper wolf in sheeps clothing.
