Default machine polisher pads

I bought a machine polisher and used all 3 of the pads (cut, enhance and finish) on my old car.

Do i need to buy new pads or will i be able to use those pads on my new car? My old car is blue but a different blue to my new car, might seem like a daft question but iv heard some horror storys about machine polishing!!

Cheers

As above, I just wash mine through with warm water and a little fairy liquid.

wash them and thats fine horror stories are from machine buffers used in body shops, very easy to burn paint. If its a porter cable polisher or similar your ok anyway

I waxed the car yesterday and found the 'bonnet' cover of the polisher got clogged quickly, and it makes sense would get quite hot too, so it was good old elbow grease

you need a variable speed polisher, low speed = no burns

bonnet cover get blocked if you use to much polish. or try buffing off when its still not fully dried etc. i use a combination of poorboys world and sonus detailing products and bonnets work fine. just wash them after each use
