Removing headlight glass??
#3
i have a set of crystall fogs, 1 of which all the brackets are broke, i wanted to swap the backing from my old 1 to the crystall.
I cant imagine why its not possible with the fogs, ive done it many times with the heat gun but it takes time and does not get the glue evenly warm.

This has got me thinking........
My Bug STi headlights have a couple of stone chips. Could I split them down and use normal Bug headlight plastic/glass to repair? It would save buying two new STi headlights.......

Hi all, hi Wayne,
to remove the glass from the bugeye headlight, just put the headlight in the oven for 30 min at a temp of 70 °C. Afterwards don't forget do remove the 2 screws!
This should help:
