Thought the track seemed a bit slow today managed a 12.95 but was hoping for a bit more.
Not many scoobys only saw 3 or 4. Anyone have a good day?
I was in a silver newage wagon.

Hey Trev, managed a 13.1, but like you say wasn't as quick as I was hoping considering I run a 13.2 last year before my latest mods and new clutch!!
Sorry I didn't come over and say hello, maybe next time.
Nice to meet you James ( Mifo ) and your very nice spec C!

Yes nice meeting you Tim. That wagon is quite stealthy Trev .

My best yesterday was a 12.82 , my all time best is 12.47 but have a few minor problems that need fixing.

I did improve on my 60ft time but the top end figures werent good enough to come close to the 12.47.

ive always been put off with santa pod type things
mainly because im worried of making a prat of myself

in the CTR it'd be me spinning the hell outta the wheels without going anywhere
and in my scoob it'd be me bogging down loads before going

yes my right foot needs some training
generally dont do it during my normal driving so its not something i practice heh

It's harder than you think. Fast times are made in the first 60 ft and 1/8 mile. Bogging down on the line is quite common. A good suspension set up an a decent set of tires will help

Agree with that, my standard suspension doesn't cope with the increased power, squatting at the rear and rearing the front wheel arches in the first 60ft.

Yo trevsjwood, Mifo and timthebat, i was running the blue classic.

How's that clutch timthebat lol.

Got a 15.2, my personal best. What was hugely annoying though was my friend got in my car and first run got a 15.1 , i got to go back and beat his time soon.

Thanks
Sam

Thing is, while you are in the stand looking down your nose at the chavs in the subarus, they are enjoying themselves and are actually doing 1/4 mile racing. The money that some guys on here put into their machines would lead me to believe they are not in fact chavs but serious enthusiasts.

aye dont get me wrong i fully understand the time, effort and money people put into they're cars
i dont look down my nose at anyone

Ive only ever seen the odd snap from various misc days there and there seemed to be a fair few chavs about ;( of course until i get my **** there i cant make judgement
(wasnt related to the cars tbh, more the crowd)

used to go to Trax, fiesta in the park, ford fair etc, some are pretty good still.. but Trax went down hill for me.. just wondering if the pod is the same

The pod has it's fair share but the vast majority of those wee lads who say the cars are slow because they aren't a "10 second" car would completely sh1te themselves if they got into a fast car

I was there yesterday, I saw a very nice black newage with BAT numberplate, a quick silver wagon with black or dark graphics which parked near us (couple of Skylines) early in the day, plus I went up against a blue classic Impreza, which I have a picture of
I guess all of those cars are owned by people on this thread?

The track was slippy off the line and times weren't great, but a good day and not too busy

I have the silver wagon, I saw the Skylines parked nearby, one of which ran a very quick time. There were more bikes than usual, some of which were straightliners, presumably practising for the following day. I enjoy the mixture RWYB days bring, gives an opportunity to kick butt whenever possible and of course visa-versa

Hi Sam,

I was in this.........

I guess you were in this blue classic then?

From the timing slip it looks like you had a false start and cruised up the strip.

Trev, I ran several 12 second dead times, best on the day was 12.008, a little short of my PB at 11.76

Luckily I'm so far ahead in the first one you can crop me out and have a decent photo
Like I said, I'm pretty sure Sam's run was aborted as it was a false start, low terminal and around 22 seconds

This was my best run of the day, although not as quick as i'd hoped.
Shame I didn't come and say hello Trev as i've spoken to you and your daughter at a Jap show in 2009 which sort of spurned me on to get another Impreza, anyway next time i'll definitely come and have a chat.

V5 man, was behind you when you launched and you could clearly see where your R888 fought for grip!!

Saalro, my clutch is fine and i'd rather slip that than rip my gearbox to bits lol!
Nice to see a gaggle of Scoobynetters there, and coincidentally, none of us are chavs thanks very much!
