Default Newbie scooby questions

Can i just say thanks to everyone for helping me out on the other thread and please humour a noob

I pick up my 07 WRX in the week some random questions

1. I plan to fit a cosworth filter & scoobyworld back box just for sound, i dont plan to get any other work inc remaps. Will these 2 mods be ok to run long term seems silly to remap for these. Any ill effects you can think off?

2. Can you run normal 95ron petrol without damage or are we talking v-power, tesco 99 etc.

3. How on earth can tell if its uk car or JDM ( dont have the log book yet) used google but nothing for 07

Kind Regards

Firstly, you should be fine with a filter and back box.

I find your question 3 a little disturbing as personally I'd want to know from the outset what I'm getting in return for my hard earned, and not be Googling on the off chance that a light bulb moment will occur where I suddenly scream eureka, that's the kind of car I'm buying

All the best

Tim

As for the petty question, I personally only use v power or tesco 99. I have heard other people say that you can run it on 95 as long as you don't drive it hard though I once got caught short and had to put £10 of tesco 95 in mine and ran like a bag sh*t even on idle so I stay well clear of the stuff! If you did go the 95 route I would stick to shell at least!

If its a standard WRX then it doesn't need Super - but runs fine on Super if you have a big enough wallet. If it's an STi then Super unleaded is recommended by Subaru.

I've ran my 2.5 wrx on 95 ron and it runs great. If you start running bigger power then v power would be the way to go.
