Hi,

Am on the look out for some new rubber and was heading towards Yokohama Advan AD08s as I want a good compromise between fast road and occasional track, where they excel, especially in the dry.

However, they ain't cheap and have noticed the Ultrac Sessanta has been getting great reviews for some time now and these are £60.00 a corner cheaper!

Anyone running them for both road and occasional track use and if so, what do you think?

Thanks,

Steve

Coming from you mate, that's a good recommendation to start with!

Same as Moley - they were brilliant round Rockingham along with my BC Coilovers. Just ask the 400bhp Hawkeye owner with Toyos and standard suspension i kept on going past lol

Had Ultracs on the sport and loved them, going to Sessanta on the hatch when I've finally killed the Yoko A10's whicha re OK in the dry but scarey in anything remotely damp.

Keddlestone, I have Falken 452s at the mo but I think the Sessantas are going to be superior, especially as a compromise for road and track and certainly in the wet.

Mac05 - £60 cheaper than Yokohama ADO8's mate. Not each! Now that would be an absolute bargain!

Subscribed - I currently have the old style Eagle F1's. Hoping to get a few days out of these before they need changing. Anyone experienced a track day with F1's?

I was looking at 225/40/18:
Sessanta from camskill @ £112 per
AD08's Yoko from camskill @ £157 per
Toyo T1 R from camskill @ £95 per (but heard bad reports for T/Days)
New style Eagle F1's from Camskill @ £116 per (unsure of new type, I though the old style was better imho)

All the above would be classd as Road tyres I believe!!!

Having the same suspension, it would be interesting to know what pressures you were using on track?

Great on the road, one of the best road tyres I have ever used but never used them on track.
