High rise light for MOT

High rise light for MOT
Hey guys. I got my car de-spoilered the other day. Do you need a high rise brake light for the MOT? My car doesnt have the brake light on the rear shelf like alot of car i've seen do. Btw its a hawkeye.

Correction to that if fitted it must all work.
No elements be out.
If it only partially works un-plug it or it's a fail!
Mines been through 3 MOT's without it working as the cable was damaged when i bought the car so i just cut the plug off..
