99 Ecu Into A 1998(S) Car??

Default 99 Ecu Into A 1998(S) Car??

hello everybody.
could some 1 plz tell me is this possible?? I have a S Reg impreza that i really would like to keep but i want more power.
I also have chance of a zero sports 4 plug ecu, would this fit and how mapable are they?

afaik 97 on ecu are 3 plug ,standard 99 ecu are denso and 98 are jecs and arent compatible

I'm pretty sure that the 98 is a three plug ecu and the 99 is four plugs. Easiest thing to do mate is to pull up the passenger footwell carpet, take of the plate that covers the ecu (only a couple of bolts) and see how many plugs your ecu has then to from there.

what about a sym trec's ecu? are these a good mapable ecu?
