Insurance - The great debate
#1
I have been searching around for insurance on my new car, when a colleague of mine said 'try Barclays'. I thought no way.
He has a Skyline and Lotus 340R and has both insured with them, so I give it a go.
To my surprise they have come out at least £400 cheaper than any other company on a LHD modded car with 500BHP, AND with only £100 excess. The £100 Excess thing applies to all cars whether it is a Fiesta or a Ferrari.
But it doesn't stop there... this also includes track insurance and for £38 extra additional roadside/breakdoen insurance.
So for a 32 year old with a 993 Turbo with Ruf conversion, full NCB, track insurance, breakdown £1490!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible!
Now all I need to do is find the bloody number again!
Also fantastic people to deal with, however, haven't needed to make a claim yet.
Anyone else tried them.

Well,
I just gave them a call, and I am pleasantly suprised. They have just quoted me less than I paid last year on a standard quote and not the one where they GUARANTEE to beat your renewal figure. So they are defo worth a call in my opinion. The Guaranteed to beat your renewal quote has some restrictions, well, you have to pay it one go and provide proof of your renewal quote, but that seems to be it.
